Comparison of Hussite War Wagons from different manufacturers

I was meaning to do that for a long time already, but real life always gets in the way. My 10mm Hussite army for Warmaster Medieval is very slowly and painfully taking shape.  I swear it will be ready this year 🙂

There are few companies producing Hussite War Wagons in that scale- i am proud owner of Irregula Miniatures, Kallistra and Pendraken ones- I wanted as much variety in my force as possible.

Lets start with Irreggular Miniatures one. I paid £ 1.10 for each wagon without infantry (as I have plenty of Pendraken guys to man them). Its not breathtaking, very simple construction, definition on the model is not amazing but also not bad. However it is also significantly cheaper than its counterparts from other companies. Not much problem with mould lines either and they are perfect for modyfying them a little bit with plasticard if them to look bit different from each other .  Definitely worth buying few to add variety to your Hussite army if you don’t want your tabor looking like it just left a factory 🙂

Pendraken ones go for £ 3.25 and are artillery wagons, with medium and heavy guns options to buy.  Same as Irregular Miniatures one they come with two horses as well plus some crew . Quite a lot of flash on the model, but luckily it is very easy to remove.  Gun comes separately,so do wheels.  Good definition and lots of detail- all in all I was very satisfied with them as well.

Kallistra wagons are multi-part, really big and beautiful models. They cost£ 5.50 for a blister of two wagons with some crew and come in two versions- war wagon and armoured war wagon, both very similar to each other. Lots of detail, high level of definition and no flash, no problem with mould lines either. Only disadvantage is that they are really more like 12mm scale (just like all their miniatures)- it would be better if they would be bit smaller, but if you put only Kallistra infantry on them, they will not stand out so much from the rest. Some of them were also bit difficult to assemble, but nothing that couldn’t be dealt with a bit of patience.

Definitely all three are worth byuing if you think about nice looking Hussite army and remember not to mix Kallistra ones with miniatures from different manufacturers.
